For this setup a Single Pole Double Throw ON-ON toggle switch, a 1000 µF / 25v capacitor and a diode are used to operate a Kato or Tomix turnout.
The 1N4001 diode is added here to prevent the capacitor from discharching to the other turnouts.
But it also works fine without the optional diode.
