This little N-scale layout runs on a DCC-EX dcc command station.

This command station is built up by using an Arduino Mega, a Deek-Robot motorshield, two Okkie8 occupancy detectors and a 8 channel relay board for switching the turnouts.
The Okkie8’s and relayboard are connected to the i/o ports on the Arduino Mega.
Rolling stock is from Kato and Tomix, all engines have a dcc-decoder built in.
There are 10 occupancy sensors (current detection) to detect the position of the trains.
Everything runs handsfree controlled by some sequences made in EX-RAIL.
The first train leaves track 1 and drives to the station.
When it enters sensor S-10 the speed reduces and the train will stop on S-08.
Now the next train is allowed to move to the station and so on.
All wagons are equipped with rear lights so when they reverse in one of the tracks the sensors can detect them.
